Art Exhibition Participants Selected

Posted by WAFWA on June 23, 2022

WAFWA will be launching its 100th year celebration on the evening of Wednesday, July 13, 2022 during our annual Summer Meeting. The launch party will take place at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

In addition to dinner, music, and museum tours, guests at this event will be able to participate in the “Spirit of Western Wildlife” art exhibition. Participants at the Museum will be able to vote for their favorite to be named “Best in Show”. All conference registrants will be able to bid on these pieces during our silent auction. All proceeds from the auction will go toward wildlife conservation programming.

We received submissions from across our region – with artists focusing on varying subject matter and utilizing diverse media to capture the “Spirit of Western Wildlife.”  This diverse interpretation of our theme goes to show the impact that wildlife conservation has in the West.

To get a sneak peak of the art that will be on display, head over to our art exhibition webpage. Each piece is linked to the artists’ webpage or social media for you to see more of their work.
