Transportation

  • The nearest international airport is Salt Lake City Utah International Airport (SLC) (https://slcairport.com/); Delta Airlines does fly twice a day from SLC to the Elko Regional Airport.  Depending on your origin city, the overall price to fly into Elko thru SLC is reasonable.  NDOW can help shuttle folks to hotel from regional airport.
  • For folks who are flying into Salt Lake City and looking at connector flights, Sky West-Delta Connection is the only airline into and out of Elko and is expensive and with limited flight times.  We have set aside funding to rent a Mini-Van for up to 5 people for the week of June 15 – 18 (driving Monday afternoon to Elko and driving back to SLC Friday morning; 3 hr 15 min one way).  If you are interested in driving or securing a spot in the Mini-Van, please contact Mike Cox at 775-240-1335 or mcox@ndow.org.   To accommodate folks to attend the Monday night social, we would need the mini-van to leave SLC no later than 1:30 pm.  For the trip back to SLC Airport after the Symposium, we would try to have folks leave Friday morning around 6:00 am to catch their flights out of SLC.
